Introduction I earned my Bsc in Marine Administration (in school of Maritime Business and Administration). Later on, I have finished my Military service in navy. My passion for the wilderness and marine environment directed me into Monk researches in 2004 in Middle East Technical University. Ever since that day I spent many time on field surveys on Mediterranean coasts. I have started my MSC in 2005 in Marine Biology and Fisheries. In 2008 I completed my M.S with thesis subject of,”Selection of the Priority Areas on the West Coasts of Mersin Using GIS to Assess a Marine Conservation Planning” The Institute of Marine Sciences gave me chance to be involved in many different studies related with marine environment. I have participated several scientific diving, field work and research over Turkish Mediterranean coast. Beside coastal surveys including monk seals, sea grasses and fisheries researches I have been involved in oceanographic cruises in Mediterranean Sea, Marmara Sea and Black Sea. I have also been involved in a bathymetric survey, where I got experienced in using echo sounders.
