| Introduction | Gaspard was born into a French lower aristocratic family in 1988. His father Jean-Marc was a banker and his mother Jacqueline was heiress to a fertilizer fortune. However, the family's bank collapsed in the late 90s and Jacqueline was disinherited from her family's fortune after she published a scandalous book chronicling her playboy brother's famed exploits. The family was forced to sell their apartment on the Avenue Foch in Paris and board up their country estate, the Chateau de Mal-de-Mer. They emigrated to Canada, where they encouraged young Gaspard to pursue a sound career, rather than simply flit about Europe like many of his jet-setting Swiss boarding school friends. He worked hard for the first time in university and is now attending law school. He hopes to pursue a career in corporate law to recover his disgraced family's name. |
