Introduction So, I had a fantastic career for 9 years in, let's say, an industry that requires interaction with a lot of people. I traveled, had a direct staff of 7 (indirect of hundreds), managed accounts in several states - and I loved it. My job was my life and almost drove my husband to leave me a few times. But I was 'large and in-charge', if I may, and was never really sure if the family life was for me so work work work! ...So what happened? My company took on a new direction and I was, as they say, 'relieved of duty' after almost 5 years... Oh, and I was 7 months pregnant with our first child... Oh, and we had just bought our first house (forclosure) and blew our savings rehabbing it. FML. Ah, but I bounced back! I started a new job just 3 months after having a bouncing baby boy. In adapting to and loving being a mom, I realize I need a place to 'blow off some steam'! Enter blog :) The good news is that I also re-discovered my love (and occasional talent) of the kitchen. So here we go...
Interests Cooking, reading, being a mom, self-diagnosing on the internet (definately bi-polar), stumbling-upon, trying not to piss off my husband to the point of leaving me while still sustaining required personal weekly argument quotas.
Favorite Movies Eat Pray Love, Julie & Julia, and just about anything involving British history.
Favorite Music Country, Oldies, and anything Beastie Boys.
Favorite Books Lots of Philippa Gregory, some spy novels, currently trying to get through Steig's Millenium trilogy... I also read just about everything out there on the Holocaust when I was in my early 20's (my darker days)
