| Introduction | Craig Wright is a graduate of the University of South Africa’s Department Of Communications and has over 20 years of English teaching experience in Asia. Craig is an author and the series editor of a children’s reader series for Oxford University Press (牛津大学出版侧), called Dolphin Readers ( www.oup.com/elt/dolphins ), as well as the author of a new children’s phonics series, for The Commercial Press (商务印书馆) called Uncle Craig’s Phonics. His experience in classrooms in Asia has enabled Craig to gain a good understanding of the issues and requirements Asian teachers and students have in order to learn English well. Craig is a well known, experienced presenter, teacher trainer and materials developer, and has conducted many successful teacher-training seminars and presentations in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and China and Taiwan. Craig has conducted teacher training sessions by invitation from the Ministries of Education in Vietnam and China. Reactions to his teacher training sessions are always extremely positive, a fact that is borne out by the fact that he is often invited to return to do further teacher training sessions. |
