Introduction Twenty six years ago some of the most "intelligent" doctors available came to the conclusion that I had sustained profound brain damage due to near-miss SIDS and that it would be terminal before I was a year old. Statistics and odds mean nothing to me. I graduated at the top of my class both in high school and from one of the most obnoxiously uppity universities. I have the best job ever as a preschool special education teacher. My path here has been anything but direct, and I am infamous for finding detours. My medical history comes in volumes and while I continue to ignore statistics and odds, I am proud of the fact that I am damaged goods. Perfection is highly overrated.

You're going to the moon! What did you forget to pack?

Remembered to pack everything I would need for a trip to the moon and more and then forgot the bag.
