Introduction	I'm a thirty something artist, married, have two doggies, and have been a blog junkie for years. A blog reading junky that is. I decided I had some things I wanted to share with my fellow blog reading junkies so here I am. Did I mention I have a house full of fug furniture! This blog will document how I plan to turn fug into fab! When my husband and I married I moved in to his man house with a ton of my hand-me-down furniture. But that's ok. I have a good eye for design (thanks to my interior designer mommy)and a husband that lets me do whatever I want. I'll be doing this on a beer budget and we will probably be eating a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches, but at least we can eat it in a beautiful space. That's how this is going in my head anyway. Oh, one more thing I should mention. I have an unhealthy obsession with all things Swedish...furniture, clothing, meatballs, you name it. It all started with a stollen library book when I was in 6th grede called "Come Along to Sweden". Dont worry, I paid the fine. What you though I was going to return the book! Not a chance it was too good! The name Hem Stil comes from the two Swedish words for Home and Style.
