IntroductionBrenda, located in the Counseling and Enrichment Center at Kearney, specializes in foster and adopted family issues. Her personal life experience of being an adoptive parent for the past 13 years gives her first-hand experience of the healing that can take place in a child with a nurturing, informed and understanding primary care-provider. Brenda believes that building a relationship anchored in trust and safety between a parent and child is key for the healing of traumatized children. She empathizes with the parental struggle of raising a child rift with attachment and abandonment issues, biological or not. Brenda presented testimony, life-experience and advice for foster parents at the 2011 National ATTACh conference. Brenda is available for speaking to organizations, churches, support groups and/or any business or individual who desires information and guidance with behavior issues in children. She also works part time in the Columbus area. Please read more at her Kearney office site: www.bsntherapy.com
