Introduction	I discovered parchment craft by accident when I moved to the South Coast and wanted to get involved on the local craft scene. I turned up at a parchment craft class run by the wonderful Alison Yeates and within ten minutes I was completely hooked. I love all forms of parchment but I soon began to realise that there are an awful lot of flower patterns out there and I just wanted something a bit different. Before I retired, for thirty years I was a script writer for girls' comics (who remembers the Four Marys in Bunty? That was one of mine) so I guess I have got used to 'thinking' in pictures. So I began designing my own patterns, usually involving something other than a flower. I especially enjoy putting figures in my designs as I like to imagine a story behind them.
