Introduction Why is there never a category about favorite foods? I think that says a lot about a person. I'll try (just about) anything once. Food-wise that is. My theory is that if you try something with an open mind 8 times, you will learn to love it. Okay, so maybe that means I'll try anything 8 times. And really it's not my theory, it's one I got from Jeffrey Steingarten. I can't say I'm big on innards though. I'm passionate about food, recipes, restaurants, and the culture that surrounds all of it. Another good category would be where have you traveled to? When I travel, it's really to try to experience the culture from an insider's view, something that is hard to achieve unless you know somebody in that city. Of course, my travel typically revolves around food. Where to find the best pizza in Rome? Where to find the best calamari in Barcelona? Just thinking about it makes me hungry!
