About me

Industry Arts
Location Medford, OR, United States
Introduction I'm just a country girl, having the time of her life, treasure hunting daily, seeing the good in all things that others might consider worthless. I love creating mixed media artwork and home d├ęcor items using found objects...and I've just recently started dabbling in wearable art jewelry. Many of my fixed-up finds have been published in a number of magazines and have won accolades. But my life spent in Southern Oregon, with my family and friends, is the MOST important to me. Without their support and encouragement, I might just be another hoarder! LOL I'm enjoying meeting like-minded persons and sharing ideas, dreams, and experiences...and hope to have the studio open to the public someday soon.
Interests Daydreaming, Making Lists, Cooking, Making/Decorationg Cakes and Cookies Gardening, Scrapbooking and Mixed Media Altered Art, Reading, Family Time, Second-Hand Treasure Hunting/Tag Sales, and Reinventing Junk!
Favorite Movies I love movies, but Nightmare Before Christmas, Under The Tuscan Sun, Fried Green Tomatoes, Thomas Crown Affair immediately come to mind. And my alter ego likes Sin City, Pulp Fiction, The Departed, Gangs of New York, and the Kill Bill series.
Favorite Music I enjoy a large cross section of music, including 80's hair rock, but I judge my faves by songs, not bands.
Favorite Books I read a variety of books, but mostly I read Country Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Somerset Studio and a variety of scrapbook magazines. I like mysteries and capers. Love stories can be fun, but I'm living my own love story right now.

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?

I don't have an alarm clock. Weird, I know, but fortunately I am able to get up at my own pace - most of the time. If I HAVE to be somewhere at a certain time, my DH will set his alarm and wake me up - but I will not sleep well that night because I will be on "high alert" to wake up on time the whole night.
