| Introduction | You might call it an anthropological approach to food, although with a justified cynicism for authenticity fetishism. I like to travel places, eat, and reconstruct "local dishes" once back in my own kitchen. I like to hybridize dishes and love spice above all else. Think naan-bread tacos with duck carnitas, green tomato raita and tomato jam; carrot gnocchi and barbacoa with cilantro pesto; mom's banana bread with lime zest and garam masala. The blog will be a carnet de cuisine to sketch out ideas and document successful (and less successful) meals. The spice must flow! |
