| Introduction | Since a very young age I have had a compulsion to write. I say compulsion because I have used writing all of my life to express my deepest feelings. It was the only safe way I knew as a child to do so, and that did not change much for a very, very long time. My purpose in writing this blog is to give the Lord honor and praise and hopefully inspire others who may be on the brink of thinking there is no hope. I have been in that black abyss in the past and it was His holy hand that reached down to me when I couldn't reach up to Him and He pulled me out. If He did it for me, He can do it for you. Songbird seemed the appropriate title for my blog because I have determined to praise God, no matter my circumstance all the days of my life. My prayer is that in doing so, that you too, will find your song and your hope in the midst of what this life may throw at you, through Him. |
