| Introduction | I was born and raised in Manila. Like most Filipinos, I attended a Catholic school from elementary through high school. Because of that, I learned how to share what I have and care for others at a young age.
After a semester of college in Manila, I transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising degree completing the program in the Spring of 2006. After working in the ad industry in San Francisco, I decided I wanted to enhance my design skills in order to be able to professionally express my concepts in visual terms and soon I got into the Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design program. My personal connection to the topic of adoption and family stems from my appreciation for my own strong and supportive network of family and relatives. Their unconditional love and encouragement have given me the confidence that has allowed me to undertake challenges and set high goals. I believe every child deserves the opportunity for self fulfillment that comes with the emotional and psychological support of a strong family life. |
