| Introduction | Mother of three daughters. My youngest is 22 and just graduated from UCSB in June 2008. First on my side of family to graduate from a University of this stature and we are very proud of her. I have one grandaughter and 5 grandsons. One is the son of my new son-in-law who is serving in the Persian Gulf in the Navy and returning home from his second tour at the end of the month. As a Barack Obama grassroots supporter I have worked online during the primaries making phone calls and fighting against media attacks such as the "Rev. Wright" 24/7 campaign. Being delighted at this writing that Senator Obama is ahead in most polls I am inspired to do more to keep this lead going. I am saddened by the recent attack of Sarah Palin saying Obama has "terrorist friends". I am a two year survivor of Breast Cancer and under McCain's Health Care Plan I would not be able to get insurance in 2009 when my COBRA ins. expires. His $5000 would not even cover what I owe still owe one provider for non-covered services. Along with the economy and the war, healthcare is the most major voting issue I consider. |
