| Introduction | Jill Tuck and Ian Hart are partners of The Stamp Man, retailers of art rubber stamps and craft accessories. The Stamp Man is located in Skipton, North Yorkshire in the UK and has been established for over 20 years, and was at the forefront of the paper crafting craze, before it was even considered a hobby. In the beginning their partnership had a different name but it soon changed as their customers unwittingly renamed it! Stamping and using embossing powders was a fascinating concept and Jill and Ian had put together a starter kit that Ian demonstrated all day, every day, for years. Customers would visit their craft stands at shows to watch Ian’s demonstrations of the embossing kit and it was the customer’s children that could be heard saying "I want to go and see the stamp man”. Jill thought it a brilliant and natural re-name for them, and it has remained ever since. During this time, Jill appeared on Create and Craft TV, a 24 hour dedicated craft shopping channel for about 7 years with pre-recorded shows in the beginning before moving on to the live show format. They have offered a mail order service since 1995 and an online shopping service since 1999. |
