He has been a pedagogue and teacher trainer for over 17 years. Early publications focused on language training and appeared in "Prism, a Learning Journal". They included "The Seven Intelligences and EFL" and "Bernard Dufeu and Unconventional Approaches to Foreign Language Learning." Literary works include translations of stories by the French fin de si├Ęcle writer Marcel Schwob. These appeared in "Udolpho", the periodical of the Gothic Society to which Philip also contributed non-fiction articles. His collection of supernatural tales "Heresies" was published in 2000. After reading "Critical Synoptics: Menippean Satire and the Analysis of Intellectual Mythology", he contacted the author, Dr Carter Kaplan. Philip has since become a regular contributor to Kaplan's "Emanations", an annual anthology of avant-garde writings.
