Introduction I am just a small town girl. I grew up spending my summers on the farm and sundays in church. I have traveled and lived other places, but Olive Hill is where I will always call home. On Being Me: Well, I like me. But, opinions vary. On Being A Mom: It is the single greatest, scariest, hardest, and rewarding thing I have ever done. Never once, did I ever dream that I would be a single mom. I'm not sure why. It could be that I grew up in one of those becoming increasingly rarer 2-parent homes. One where mom and dad fell in love and stayed in love. On the other hand, it could possibly be because I'm an overly optimistic dreamer who prefers living in a reality obscured by fantasy. Nonetheless, I am very fortunate to have an amazing network to call upon for help. My Mother (aka Grammie)is, without a doubt, my greatest asset. I won't say I couldn't do it without her, but I'm glad I don't have to. :) I'm also lucky enough that my support network includes my former inlaws, my ex, his wife and her family as well. It's like one huge extended family. Hey, they say it takes a village!
Interests I have a weakness for all things pink and sparkly. And books. If I ever see a pink, sparkly book? You had better believe that that baby is Mine! :-p
Favorite Movies I love movies! I especially like to read a book and then watch the movie. lol I'm not sure why, because I'm often disappointed. Nonetheless, I do it anyway.
Favorite Music I am a fan of music. Not all music, just good music. What determines good music you ask? Well, me of course! I listen to everything from Bluegrass & Gospel to Hip Hop. From oldies to contemporary. If it has a good beat/hook/or something else that catches my fancy, well I add it to my playlist. He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones is probably still my favorite song ever. (Or maybe Vern Gosdin - Holdin Her & Lovin You.) You just can't beat a rip-your-heart-out country song. :)
Favorite Books Oh, there a just too many to list. At least right now. Maybe I'll come back another day and ponder on this immense subject.
