Ouarkhokh

About me

Introduction Ouarkhokh is a village of approximately 4000 people located in North-central Senegal. The people are primarily of the Wolof people group with a small Pulaar contingent. Farming and herding are the primary economic activities. A low per capita income presents challenges in all areas of life, particularly education and health. Malaria is especially problematic in the village. Ouarkhokh also has a French primary school and middle school, both lack resources like books, teaching tools and buildings.
