| Introduction | China Shadow Plan is a program for the protection and promotion of the ancient art of shadow play run by a group of young artists. It is a platform for carrying on and promoting the traditional Chinese art through unified forms of design, art, photography, music, and painting to enhance the crossover between traditional and modern art. The results of the program will be presented in a series of exhibitions, performances and publications. China Shadow Plan strives to revitalise traditional culture in the modern age, in different circumstances and different locations, through the use of contemporary forms of exhibition and live performance, aiming to establish and present shadow play’s relevance as a bridge between past and present, the international and local, urban and rural contexts, and tradition and innovation. /// Exchange: chinashadow@gmail.com leon771128@hotmail.com |
