Introduction	I'm a sometime writer and avid quilter. I live, write and quilt in South Texas where it gets very hot! So why do I make quilts? I can decorate my walls with one-of-a- kind textile art! Art that is personal and won't be found anywhere else. I also make a few traditional quilted items to teach myself the skill of precision. I make quilted art that will never see a bed. Why do I write? Writing offers another creative outlet imagination. I can make up challenges for my characters and know they will always have happy endings. My book, HOLD BACK TIME is still available from Amazon.com! It's a mystery, a romance, and a woman-in-jeapordy. I write under the name Allene Frances. One reviewer said "it's a real page turner." One day I'm going o write a time travel. Maybe when main character touches vintage fabric she is taken to another time? I know we all get "carried away" with our love of fabric. What do you think?
