Introduction After receiving his MFA from USC’s School of Cinema-Television, Josh started his career in children’s television, most memorably, he helped develop and write the pilot episodes of the Nick show Avatar: The Last Airbender. While Josh has developed several TV shows (writing pilots for WB, NBC, and Fox), he’s written features for Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer, The Weinstein Company, Summit, Lionsgate, Warner Bros, Sony, Dreamworks, Steven Spielberg, Laura Ziskin, Universal and Paramount. After a seven studio bidding war, Josh’s The Passion of the Ark, sold to Sony in a multi-million dollar deal. The script, which he co-wrote with Bobby Florsheim, was eventually developed into Evan Almighty. Some of his projects include: Good Luck Chuck, starring Dane Cook and Jessica Alba; Man-Witch, produced by Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Borat); Piranha 3D, helmed by Alexandre Aja; and Sorority Row. Tribeca Film is releasing Josh's most recent directorial effort, Conception, in February of 2011. Its huge ensemble cast includes Julie Bowen, Connie Britton, and Alan Tudyk. He just wrapped production on his newest film, Crawlspace, starring Steven Weber, Jonathan Silverman and Lori Loughlin.
