|Introduction||June 1,2010 marked the end of my second year in Anchorage. My wife Dara and I moved here from California to be closer to the outdoor activities we love. From 70sF last summer to -20sF during the winter, we have hiked, biked, snowmachined, and explored by road and train. We have camped in tents and in stayed in a remote cabin, watched the bears and moose and caught a few fish.
In 1960, I was born in John Day, Oregon where I attended Grant Union High School earning two varsity letters in track . In 1976 I moved to the San Jose California area to swim, where I lettered at Homestead High School in 1977 and at Saratoga High School in 1978, where I was a two time High School All American in Swimming.
I am a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and have my masters from Boston University (Mass). I've worked in banking and software in the USA and for the Federal Government overseas and owned my own small business. In Moscow I worked for a joint venture with Aeroflot and PanAm that moved people out of the former Soviet Union. I'm also a US Navy Veteran.
My three children, ages 24, 20 and 18, live in suburban Washington DC.
