| Introduction | Grew up on a subsistence dairy farm. Two years in the Army in Germany. Graduate with an accounting degree from Washington State University in 1976. Graduate school for one semester while working nights at a computer services company owned by the CPA firm that join after that semester. Passed the CPA exam and licensed in 1978. Started the company writing microcomputer-based accounting software in evening in my basement the same year. The next year, moved a comptroller position with one of my construction company clients. Moved to Seattle in 1981 to manage an office for American Computers and Engineers. April 1, 1985, left to dedicate full time to Robert McNeel & Associates. |
