| Introduction | David is a member of a species of bipedal primates in the family Hominidae. DNA evidence indicates that modern David originated in east Africa about 200,000 years ago. David is capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection and problem solving. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the forelimbs (arms) for manipulating objects has allowed David to make far greater use of tools than any member of any other species. Davids are distributed worldwide, with large populations inhabiting every continent on Earth except Antarctica. |
