Introduction Writing was something that I always wanted to do, but was too diffident to give it a try. Self-limiting beliefs about my ability bogged me down until recently. I realised that the best way to overcome them was to make a start, else writing would remain an unfulfilled dream! So I decided to take the plunge and make a beginning as Freelance writer, focusing on inspirational, health and nutrition, alternative therapies, parenting and 'how to' articles on general subjects. Blogging too is a very recent activity that I have come to enjoy!Having quit my job recently and with more time to spare I look forward to being occupied with this interesting hobby. Get in touch with me at jyoti.shah@gmail.com if you have any writing that I can do for you.
Interests Currently writing, healing, reading books and articles on inspirational and spiritual subjects, cooking and regularly meeting a group of like-minded friends to share information and experiment with healing modalites.
Favorite Movies Movies of Shirley Maclaine and Audrey Hepburn. What A Way to Go, Yellow Rolls Royce, My Fair Lady, How To Steal a Million, Roman Holiday Wait Until Dark.
Favorite Music Enjoy listening to all kinds of music. Pop music of the 50's, 60's and 70's, particularly Cliff Richard, the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and many other popular singers and instrumental music of that era.Indian Classical music, both vocal and instrumental, particularly santoor and flute. Indian Folk music, Ghazals, instrumental music from all round the world. Any soothing, healing music played on the harp. I love this instrument, it has a kind of soul appeal! Enjoy listening to World Space Radio because of the wide variety of music offered.
Favorite Books The Road Less Travelled- By M Scott Peck. The Path to Self Realisation by Paramhans Yoganand. Hands of Light and Light Energing both written by Barbara Ann Brennan. Infinite Mind and Mind to Mind by Betty Shine. Many Lives Many Masters, Only Love is Real by Dr Brian Wiess. Echoes of the Soul by Echo Bodine. There are so many more, its difficult to list all of them here. You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. Conversations With God - The entire trilogy by Neale Donald Walsch. Laws of Attraction, by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Shirley Maclaine's books Dancing in the Light, Out on a Limb, Dont' Fall Off the Mountain make good reading. Edgar Cayce has also impressed me with his channeled messages. Messages from Michael, More Messages from Michael - This is a channeled book about the Michael Teachings. The Michael Teachings have impressed me a lot and brought the realisation that All Is Choice, All Choices are Valid and Choices bring Consequences. They have taught me to respect others without judgement because each soul comes to this earth to learn his/her own lessons according to their karma and no soul is better or worse than another, because different choices bring in different perspectives and hence there can be no judgement about anyone's choices. Reading about 'Soul Age' at their website I felt my curiosity increasing and I wanted to know more about the Teachings. I then joined their yahoogroup. I like reading any book that takes me further on the spiritual path. Even a line of wisdom that it may contain makes it worth reading! But just reading is not enough. It must be supported by a spiritual practice, like meditation.

Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

Both are equally important. Being flexible is also a way to expand oneself.
