| Introduction | My name is Meetta (Meat-a). Author of Poetry To Strengthen, Heal & Encourage. I've written songs and poetry since 15. Professionally, I am a Public Speaker, Story Teller, Re-enactor. I am photo art in the "CHRISTANA REVOLT slave story located in the "Liberty & Justice For All" Exhibit in THE HENRY FORD Museum. I am preparing to become a VOICE ACTOR. A native Detroiter, some think I speak with a carribbean accent.Ive been told, my VOICE IS A SONG. UNIQUE! Especially having been born of American born parents! That unique sound though, helps people "hear" me. I consider it a blessing...a gift from God! My voice, though ordinary to me, has proven useful and commanding, considering my occupation. Story Teller, not by choice but by opportunity perhaps. still, I am thankful for it. Story Telling, has taught me the importance of being a strong communicator, the influence that I can be. I engage my audiences by being vulnerable. So they too, are safe to be vulnerable. It is a wonderful thing that I can exude passion in what I am doing! With it, take people to the place I, as a story teller, have painted and helped them see. |
| Interests | Writing songs, poetry, articles. Cooking (creating) is a favorite thing. Cooking is a great stress reliever for me. Without leaving the state, I can travel around the world enjoying different types of food. I thoroughly enjoy learning about historical people, places and facts. I like being around people who love to learn, want to grow in their humanity , their spiritual walk, their dreams, goals and people who are striving to grow in these areas. People who are doing something about it! |
