Introduction	I am 5th Grade Math/Science Teacher at Jonathan Valley Elementary School and I have been an instructor for AIMS Education Foundation for almost 20 years. I have also worked with teachers through the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy for the past 7 years. Locally, I work with teachers at my school and with teachers in Buncombe County through workshops that work to understand our new Essential Science Standards, since North Carolina is not going with the Common Core for Science this go around.
