Introduction The systematic themes and approaches I take to work settle on a few of key ideas. I like work in a very expressive, loose and colourful way, and I tend to be very prolific which removes the inclination to be precious with work. I tend to look at figurative subject matter looking at relationships between figures and environments, figures with each other and atmospheres created through situation. Recently I have started to use an automatic drawing technique. By removing my initial mind block worry, I have started to develop figurative work including mythical creatures, nutty biennial objects, and the overall it looks at the relationship between the surreal and reality. My resulting work could be described as ludicrous, nutty and comical, and in a sense a hyper-real representation of life. I’m trying to represent the randomness of appropriated fractured viewpoints that are held within our postmodernist society.
