Introduction	I am currently a Peace Corps Masters International agroforestry volunteer in Senegal. That means I'm still enrolled at the University of Washington, working on my Masters of Forest Resources simultaneously with Peace Corps. I grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington, where I loved to play in the mud and climb trees (and still do). Favorite highschool sport was track and field (400m, 4x400m relay, discus and hammer). Got my BS in Environmental Science at the University of Washington, during which I worked summers on a ranch in eastern Washington and got into competitive distance running. I love all outdoor sports: running, backpacking, kayaking, climbing, biking... the Pacific Northwest is incredible but I love traveling as well, most frequently to Brazil where I worked in a biochemistry lab for several months. Africa will be my first trip outside of the Western hemisphere!
