| Introduction | I am a mom of four incredible kids, ages 18, 14, 13 & 10. I've been married to my best friend and supporter, for 25 years! (Together for 30!) I've taught special needs students for over 10 years and then taught for 10 years at the Community College level in remedial English. After teaching in HI, NY and VA, I found that students everywhere just need to know you care. I've had the pleasure of teaching some amazing immigrant and refugee students from all over the world-- and they've taught me. I miss my VA students tremendously!! My husband and I have lived in 8 states combined, and traveled cross-country 4 times. Our kids have traveled cross-country 3 times. We've seen almost all 50 states, with 3 exceptions! My husband has traveled the world and we've been able to take wonderful family trips, exploring the Atlantic and Pacific Islands. Living back in Hawaii for the 3rd time is a blessing beyond belief! I believe that if we are spiritually connected with God, we can really feel his hand at work in our lives. I've competed in 10 shows since 2005 and my last was in 2011. I hope to do another again soon! |
