| Introduction | I am T.M.Menon (Thottappillyl Mukundan Menon).Schooled in Govt.Primary School and PCGHS, both at Vellikkulangara, and High School Panangad in coastal Malabar, B.Sc Zoology (with Chemistry) from Kerala University, (Christ College, Irinjalakuda), and M.A (English Language and Literature) from University of Calicut (Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur), I migrated to Mumbai after two attempts to get into the IAS though the first one took me to the selection Board. My wife is Sulu, my late father’s niece. Our children Dileep (wife Arathi) and Neelima (spouse Rahul) gave us our grandchildren Diya and Trisha, respectively .I had a chequered career spreading across teaching, administration, writing, and marketing. Meanwhile I did a PG Diploma in Management in Bombay University’s prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. Later I became a Director on Board of Menon Impex Ltd. (Chennai), an export company, and Srinivas Computers Ltd belonging to C.Sivasankaran’s Sterling Computers Group (Chennai). In 1992 I returned to Kerala as Vice President of the first private Malayalam Satellite TV Channel, ASIANET. In 2007 I retired from Asianet and now live in Pune. |
