Introduction	I'm a transplanted New Yorker who now lives in Texas. I miss the seasons and the scenery of the northeast - the Hudson Valley to be exact. I have two beautiful children who have grown into beautiful adults and now have families of their own. I love to cook and bake but, since I am employed outside of my home full-time, most of my kitchen experiments occur on the weekends. I have hundreds of cookbooks, and you can tell which recipes I've tested out of them because those pages get a bit splattered... Hence, the name of this blog. I love to entertain family and friends and am inspired by the many, many food artists on the internet.
