Introduction Heavily influenced by Norman Rockwell's narrative style, George Freudenstein's paintings seek to tell a story or capture a moment. Born in the United States, George began drawing and painting as a child, but received no formal advanced training in the arts. He graduated college as an accountant and pursued a business career, first in the United States, and then in Israel, where he emigrated with his family. After a 30-year career as a financial executive, George finally returned to the arts. His current work, some of which is exhibited here, is primarily in watercolor. George draws on a variety of subjects for his paintings. Family and friends figure prominently in his pictures. In his work, George seeks to paint images that capture a moment or tell a story. Some of them involve some aspect of Jewish life.
