| Introduction | Dr. Moises Salinas is a Cross Cultural Psychologist, an expert in stereotypes and prejudice. He lectures about the psychology of the Israeli Palestinian Conflict. Born in Mexico, Dr. Salinas was a leader in the Dor Chadash Zionist movement. He completed the Machon leMadrichim program as part of the HaShomer HaTzair delegation in 1985. He then made Aliyah in 1986, and completed a BA degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Educational Psychology. He lived in kibbutz Nirim as an adoptive student, and was involved in the youth department of the Jewish agency. In 1998, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas. Dr. Salinas then moved to Connecticut where he works as a Professor of Psychology. He has published a large number of articles on educational and social psychology. His latest book, on the Psychology of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was published by Greenwood in June, 2007. In 2004, Dr. Salinas became one of 14 young Zionist leaders worldwide to be honored with the Herzl Centennial Awards from the WZO. He moved to Israel during 2005-2006 to work on his newest book, and developed close ties with several Israeli and Palestinian figures in the peace camp. |
