| Introduction | I was born, raised, and educated in West Virginia, and now have a second home on the west coast of Florida where I have gained many new friends. And even though I love keeping strong ties with my wonderful family, friends, and community, I still have a bit of wanderlust seething beneath the surface, waiting for the next opportunity to jump ship and go exploring. Now that I've retired from my college teaching career, the only thing holding my husband and me back from more extensive time away is aforementioned ties and money. If I were rich, I'd solve that problem by taking everyone with me! Next desired destinations? Ireland and Scotland (Mother's heritage - she was a Campbell whose ancestors arrived in America in 1770) and Lebanon (Dad's heritage - his parents were Lebanese immigrants arriving in the 1910s). |
