Caution: A Butterfly Learning to Fly

Introduction	I recently landed in Nashville to help support my amazing partner finish his graduate studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School. I spent my caterpillar days in a small town in SC being loved and cared for by an amazing family who told me I could do anything. I left SC to feed myself at Albion College in Michigan. There,I learned more about myself and first believed I could fly. I meet others who were growing restless for their wings and found friends, sisters, and Eric who believed in the person I was becoming. After AC, I found a place to stay warm in Burlington, VT. There I feed my passion for higher education through my graduate studies while I cocooned for two years honing my skills as a professional. In June, I spread my wings and flew to Nashville where I am still learning what it means to be a butterfly.
