| Introduction | I became a professional musician in London at the age of 15. After 15 years of playing in many different settings and venues in and around Toronto, Hamilton and London, I retired from music to pursue a business career. I returned to music in Vancouver in 1994, playing initially in the Royal City concert band for 5 years and working with Linton Garner (Erroll's brother) for 5 years. I also was instrumental in the formation of the David Priest Trio in 1995. We performed on 2 CBC 'Hot Air' jazz shows, played the Kaslo Jazz festival, played in the Vancouver Jazz Festival for 15 years, and we played many gigs together, producing several recordings. In 1998 I started the Sanctuary AllStars big swing band with Jack Fulton and continue to run the band today. I formed BLJQ in 2008. |
