About me

Occupation Retired
Location Magnolia, Texas, United States
Introduction I am farm-raised Oklahoma transplant blogging from south Texas. The Road to Oklahoma is one of my favorite quilt blocks and describes my life as an Okie living in Texas. This blog is about my favorite things - quilting, family, recipes, and weather. I graduated from college in northeastern Oklahoma with a degree in mathematics and have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 46 years. Living in both Oklahoma and Texas, we raised two children and have three grandchildren. My blog has changed direction as I have now retired from catering. Recipes used to be my passion (see my blog For Goodness Sake), but since I started quilting I spend my days planning my next quilting project. I enjoy crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, and crafting as well as renewing and re-purposing thrift store objects with collage, paints, and finishes. I am a trained spotter for the National Weather Service, so I am officially a weather nerd.
Interests Quilting, crafts, gardening
