| Introduction | I started this blog in January 2008 after being inspired by a documentary about the Chicago Marathon. My original intent was to simply chronicle my journey to the NYC marathon. Since then, this blog has morphed into a diary of my training and racing escapades - the highs, the lows, the struggles, the triumphs, the weirdness, and the glory! It's all here! A communications professional by day, this blog has become my creative outlet and a way for me to share my triathlon (and now marathon and endurance racing!) passion with my family and friends. To date, this blog has seen me through: ~IRONMAN Lake Placid ~ IRONMAN US Championship ~6 Ironman 70.3 races ~2 Marathons ~10 Half Marathons ~5 Olympic distance Triathlons ...this year, the bike is in storage and I've shifted my focus to trail running. I completed a six-day, 120 mile race called Transrockies in August. What's next? Time will tell! |
