| Introduction | I am a 57 year old woman married 37 years to my high school sweetheart. 2 kids Lincoln 32, and Taryn 26, both college grads. My son is married and had 2 kids Madison 6, and Kamden 2. Grandkids are awesome! Love them so much. My husband was disabled in1996 in a combine accident. I am an RN and became the "strong" one in the family. Working more and leading my family. Then in 2013 I was injured at my work and suffered a spine injury. Unfortunately my spine was compressed in my neck and I had to wait 5 months for surgery to relieve it as I entered the world of L&I. by the time I finally had surgery I was in a wheelchair with legs so weak I couldn't walk. After surgery my right side came back a bit but my left was still weak. I have foot drop and wear a brace and have left arm weakness. I rehabbed and got back to my job I love so much. Then 5 months later I suffered another injury with a patient and had to leave work. Spinal surgery and months of PT I am disabled and have chronic pain I know God has his plans for me and I will endure. I love my Seahawks and have since they began in 1976. |
