| Introduction | Hi! My name is Erin and I am a Marine Mammal Trainer at the New England Aquarium. Although I'm one of the newer members of the training team, I have been involved with the Aquarium since November 2008. I started as an intern in the Rescue/Rehab Department, continued on as a volunteer after my internship ended, and eventually worked up to being a part-time staff member rehabilitating sea turtles that strand each year on Cape Cod. During this time, I was also a member of the Information Desk staff, and a volunteer in the Marine Mammal Department. I was really lucky to have all of these opportunities to be involved in many different areas of the Aquarium - and all of this hard worked paid off in July 2010 when I began my full-time position as a Marine Mammal Trainer...my dream job! It's been amazing so far - I am learning so much, and am looking forward to sharing that with all of you through this blog! |
