About me

Location United States
Introduction My name is Heather. And I am a Midwestern wife and mother that loves the Lord. I am also a licensed counselor, but I have chosen to stay home and homeschool my children. And I love it! To me, to be able to raise them up in the Lord is the most sacred and blessed responsibility. I am passionate about my faith and my family, healthy living and gardening, and about living deliberately and for God's glory. It is my hope and prayer that I glorify God in all I do and that I can lead others closer to Him and His healing love. And that is why I write. God bless you all!
Interests Healthy living, Motherhood, Gardening, Crocheting, Cleaning House (Ha-Ha-Ha, that's a good joke! Totally kidding with that one!), Helping Hurting People (but I'm serious about this one), Living Simple and Simply Living
Favorite Movies The Greatest Showman (BEST MOVIE EVER!!!), Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (totally serious here), A Christmas Story (best Christmas movie ever!), Grease and Mamma Mia (I have a thing for musicals), Malcolm in the Middle (technically not a movie, but I love this show and they totally need to bring the other seasons out on DVD. Breaks my heart!), Never Been Kissed, Princess Bride, Ever After, A Walk to Remember, just about any 80's movie (Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, etc.), Gilmore Girls (I watch this show often. It means a lot to me on several levels.). And finally, Courageous, Fireproof, Do You Believe? (one of the best Christian movies in my book), and others like them. (Watch these last ones, please. We need more inspiring movies like them!)
Favorite Music U2, Bon Jovi, Jeremy Riddle, Newsboys, DC Talk, Matchbox 20, Crowder, Tenth Avenue North, Elvis Presley, Beatles, Neil Diamond (just being honest!), 80's music, ABBA (love them!), Trans-Siberian Orchestra (absolutely amazing!), and The City Harmonic (Love them! Love them! Love them! When I heard their first album, every fiber in my being screamed, "I must order ALL of their albums NOW!" And I did. And I was not disappointed! Freaking incredible! Seriously!) And the best movie soundtrack: The Greatest Showman (amazing!)
Favorite Books The Bible (of course), Little Women, any gardening book, John Eldredge books, Tony Evans books, A.J. Swoboda books, Donald Miller books (love the way he writes), and so many others from our church library that I can't recall all the authors or titles
