Introduction	I have always been a forager, a collector of things, a believer in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi before I even knew what it meant. The handmade, the forgotten or overlooked have always held more appeal to me. My Slovenian grandmother was what people would now describe as a hoarder, but I spent many happy hours rummaging in her vast attic above the farmhouse absorbing her love of keeping hold of the past.
