Introduction We're two ConEd students at Queen's University in our fifth and final year. We've entered the world of the teacher candidate... We started this blog to chronicle our growth and learning as educators and to create a community of teachers passionate about teaching. Please leave us a comment and join in on the discussions!
Interests Both: Teaching, talking about teaching, writing about teaching, reading about teaching... reading in general, listening to music, having philosophical discussions with very few pauses for breath, watching movies and television, taking photographs, traveling, comparing Boy Meets World to everything in life, making analogies. Jon: playing musical instruments of all kinds, playing sports of all kinds, quotations and random facts, bonfires, camp, mail, dark humor, crosswords, airports, yo-yos, lamps, neon displays, anything that lights up really, eating out, romping, gallivanting, creative synonyms for "walking", xkcd comics, Questionable Content comics, large choreographed dance scenes, interesting people, living life vicariously through others'. Courtney: Spending time with friends, eating, making nerdy crafts for her apartment, re-arranging her apartment, being in a museum with no one else around, finding new blogs, long emails, cinnamon buns, antiquing, scuba diving, making lists.
Favorite Movies Both: Annie Hall, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Bickford Shmeckler's Cool Ideas, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Alvin and the Chipmunks Courtney: Saved!, Outsourced, Remember The Titans, Some Like It Hot, Breakfast at Tiffany's. Jon: Literally too many to mention. Highlights include Garden State, The Girl Next Door, Dead Poets Society, In Bruges, Accepted.
