| Introduction | About 20 years ago my mother showed me the 1723 gravestone of Samuel Dennis, and said that her grandmother Elizabeth Tilton Dennis, had told her that this was her ancestor. I went to various libraries to see if she was correct, but could not find much on the Dennis Family. So I spent some time researching, and it turns out that she was right. Which proves that you should always listen to your mother. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother also took the trouble to write the names on the backs of all the old family photos, for which I am very thankful. |
