Introduction I taught middle and high school science for 14 years before becoming the science content specialist for Colorado Department of Education. I started teaching at Battle Mountain High School in Eagle County where I taught Natural Sciences I and II, Biology, Introduction to Physical Science, and Chemistry. I also coached track and field and cross country. I then taught at Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal for 3 years. I taught physical science, biology, environmental science, and AP biology. I also coached swimming and track and field. I then taught at Altona Middle School for 6 years teaching 7th and 8th grade integrated science classes. During this time I was awarded as the NSTA/Ciba exemplary middle school teacher for 2007.
