Introduction | I live in Cheshire and am a founder member of Visual Arts Cheshire - a community arts project. I am a photographer, IT trainer, blogger, podcaster (Darkhorse Radio) and gallery curator. I am chairman of ASAP - a charity which has recently rebuilt a primary school in Lesotho. |
Interests | never mind that - go and listen to The Frames (try Set List for starters) then email me to tell me how you don't understand why you didn't know their stuff before I told you. |
Favorite Movies | Conrack, Salvador, Missing (the one about Chile not 'The Missing'), Once, 500 Days of Summer, Day for Night |
Favorite Music | The Frames, Damien Rice, Coldplay, blues, country, Folk Rock, Rock, Pink Floyd (of course) singer songwriter ...etc |
Favorite Books | All the Light We Cannot See - a wonderful novel by Anthony Doerr. Captain Corelli's Mandolin - once you get past the first third it is unputdownable. You will want to read it again and again. Pat Conroy's 'The Water is Wide' - a true and inspiring story of one man's refusal to accept that a group of uneducated children on a South Carolina island would never amount to anything and were therefore not worth educating. Nick Hornby's '31 Songs' and also 'High Fidelity'. Anything by Kate Atkinson, William Boyd and Sebastian Faulks (especially his French trilogy). |
