| Introduction | Reni Parker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who specializes in grief counseling(death of a loved one, illness, caregiving, divorce, trauma, war, job loss, moving, life's stages, any major loss/struggle in your life. She has over ten years experience working with families, adults, adolescents and children. Her passion for assisting others through the grief process led her to facilitate an Anticipatory Loss group for families through the Journey of Hope Center as well as working with the ALS Association. In addition to grief counseling, Reni has been a school counselor and special education teacher in the school system. Reni created My Guiding Light Counseling after the experiences with her father, Milton Lachterman, who battled against ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) with tremendous strength and courage.
