| Introduction | Edmund Dalpe's strength is based on a conceptual and intellectual approach to making art, which is rigorous and methodical. Dalpe's impressive creativity centers around a complex argument about the nature of art, language and mind. Dalpé began his creative studies in 1977 when he enrolled at Pratt institutes's foundation art year. He enrolled again at Pratt in 1986-1987 studying art and design. In 2006 he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Goddard college in Vermont. Dalpe is the author of, Linguistic Determinism: Ars Gratia Lingua. He is also the moderator of a log of the same name: Blog. Dalpe is currently working on translating the meaning of the images from the cave at Altamira, which will be available this year. |
