Introduction	I'm a fourth year medical student at UNC, Chapel Hill. I grew up in Raleigh, NC, then went all the way to NC State for undergrad. I studied biochemistry, spanish, and philosophy, and then moved to Blacksburg to get a master's in philosophy from Virginia Tech. It was a great two years and I loved all the teaching and philosophizing, but I realized while there that for me medicine was the way to go. Now I'm three years down and just one to go before plunging into residency and the rest of life. Other than medicine, I enjoy racing sailboats, rock climbing, cycling, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors, especially if I can do it with my beautiful wife.
